Every year since 2006, Mahesh Tutorials as a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility has been running an initiative called “Hum Se Puchho” – a 24-hour exam helpline for SSC students. Mahesh Tutorials realized that students have a lot of doubts during the exam and no one to clear them. These small doubts can reduce confidence in the child and play on his mind causing a lot of stress. Hence Hum SE Puchho was started.
Our committed teachers were inundated with non–stop calls from the over-anxious, nervous students and parents, pressed for time.
During these projects, we not only solved their doubts and problems but also helped the poor students short of coins, by returning their calls at the PCOs, thereby helping them in their plight.
Mahesh Tutorials arranged for a child psychologist who was available round the-clock to soothe their jingling nerves and ease their stress with professional and expert advice.
The stress level experienced by the students and their parents was extremely high and varied as the exam progressed. Anxiety levels differed from parent to parent and student to student. Some were worried about their children’s health, boredom, tensions, and unpredictability of the question papers. Unknowingly some parents pressurised their children for performance and percentage, which increased the pressure on them. |
